Bengal Cat Club Show 2010

It was off to Newbury yesterday 25th July to attend the only Bengal breed show in the UK. Team Zawadi were once again out and about in force and I thank them for helping me as I was not feeling 100%.

We all booked our cats in and settled them into their pens and it was then off to the local market in Newbury town centre for bacon sarnies. We then went to a lovely pub for lunch by the canal. The weather was fantastic so it was great sitting out in the sun with friends.

Back to the show....congratulations to

Grand Champion and Imperial Grand Premier Zawadi Shamwari (AKA Clawed) who got Best of Breed out of 12 lovely neuters, all 1st places in his side classes and then went on to be Best in Show Male Neuter (he also won this last year). Owned by Peter.

Cheetah Sponsorship

I would like to introduce you all to a friend I met in Namibia. This is my new sponsored cheetah STARBUCK! We were allowed to choose the name of this cheetah at our Zawadi BBQ 2008. I was lucky enough to meet Starbuck and Peanut during our recent visit to Nambia.

My little beasty Starbuck

I have sponsored him through AfriCat UK. He lives with his brother Peanut (Sue Smith of Chataya Bengal has sponsored him!)

I think this would make a unique present for anyone having trouble picking a super gift. For more information on sponsoring your own Cheetah or Leopard please visit the AfriCat UK site. Your donation will help them in their work saving these precious cats. Please quote Zawadi Bengals when sponsoring - thank you. Please click on the following link AfriCat UK
